A live demo of an internal shift around worth and confidence.
In this live demonstration, Robert Simic works on stage with a young woman who says she has very, very low self-esteem, and the video follows the session and what she says afterwards.
Robert introduces her as someone who believed she wasn't good enough or beautiful, who was shy, couldn't look people in the eye and wouldn't start a conversation. On stage, asked whether it's her self-esteem or her confidence she wants to work on, she answers, all together.
The session itself is quiet and emotional, with tears and long pauses. Afterwards Robert asks her to imagine a future moment when she might question her confidence, her worth or her beauty, and he reports that she doesn't feel she'd question herself at all. Told that she's beautiful, she answers, yeah, I am beautiful, and goes on to say she loves her features and her body. Robert asks if she'll share this with others, and she says of course. He ends by inviting anyone who wants a change like this, or knows someone who does, to reach out, and to share the video with people who need to know that change like this is real.
"Yeah, I am beautiful."
