About this video

In this video, Robert Simic shares a live demonstration from one of his trainings with a young woman who volunteered to work on a belief that she couldn't accept herself, and then follows her to the last day of the training.

Robert explains that she arrived on day one wearing gloves, which she later shared was a way of hiding from the world, and that when she was handed a microphone in the room she couldn't make a sound. She raised her hand for a demo on shyness, and underneath it they found the belief that she couldn't accept herself.

On stage, after the process, she says, I accept myself, and Robert notices it seems to be the first time she's heard herself say it. She says she can speak now, that she'd been suffering her whole life, that she sometimes thought she wasn't normal, and that now she's shining. When Robert pays her a compliment, she simply says, I know. Two days later, at graduation, she stands on stage with a microphone and speaks to the group, saying she feels at home. Robert closes by saying there's so much unnecessary pain in the world, and that today we have the knowledge to help turn lives around.
